My Story
Hi, I'm Ilias,

I founded Basecamp Education out of my passion for teaching and mentoring young people. I’ve had my sights set on becoming a high school teacher since I was a high school student myself, and over the past six years of one-on-one tutoring, I’ve been able to see first-hand how deeply personalised support can transform a student’s confidence and ability.
​​
Alongside studying and tutoring, I've spent a decade coaching and teaching at a community gymnastics club, PVUBC, where I have recently been elected the 2026 Club Leader. That experience reflects my commitment to mentoring, teaching, and providing guidance to young people as they navigate the world they are growing into.

​I'm excited to bring my skills and knowledge into 2026, working with current and new students as they set off on their learning journeys.
